Mid-Autumn Holiday started a little late for one dedicated group of students. Kitty Zheng Shawn Yin Cecilia Wu Isabelle Chen and Gene Fu ventured to Wuxi Campus from Sept 25-28 to compete in the Asia Pacific Chinese-English Bilingual Festival. Students competed against schools from Hong Kong and WUIS in the areas of bilingual storytelling poetry recital and speech presentation.

　　Janel Sullivan老师与王璇Lisa老师分别担任英语、汉语部分指导老师，陪伴选手参加一场又一场比赛。

　　Miss Janel Sullivan accompanied the students as their coach for the English portion and Ms. Lisa Wang came along as the coach for the Chinese portion.

　　为了在比赛中展现最佳状态，同学们花了大量时间进行准备。值得高兴的是我校五名选手全都晋级总决赛。其实，在前一天夜里Shawn、Isabelle反复排练，Gene、Kitty和Cecilia就比赛所要求的主题，精心准备演讲材料。

　　The students took a lot of time to prepare in the week leading up to the competition and it paid off when all five made it into the final round on the 27th. The students and teachers stayed up very late Saturday night as Shawn and Isabelle memorized new storytelling material and Gene Kitty and Cecilia wrote speeches d on a topic provided.

　　功夫不负有心人，我们的五名选手全都获得了奖项。Kitty和Cecilia分别荣获说故事比赛金奖、银奖。Isabelle获得说故事比赛（13-14岁组）金奖。Shawn荣获说故事比赛（15-18岁组）铜奖。Gene获演讲比赛铜奖。

　　After a long night the students were well re-warded. Kitty Zheng took home gold and Cecilia Wu claimed silver in storytelling from a picture category. Isabelle Chen brought home gold for storytelling ages 13-14 and Shawn Yin snagged bronze for storytelling ages 15-18. Gene Fu also claimed a medal winning bronze for speech presentation.

　　虽然协和万源的参赛队伍是此次中英双语节中人数最少的，但我们为你们精彩的表演与优秀的品质而骄傲！

　　Miss Sullivan and Ms. Wang are incredibly proud of all the students! Even though Wan Yuan was one of the smallest teams at the competition they had a great performance and all the competitors added to the Wolves’ award collection!
