西方教育强调兴趣教育，在世界各大名校入学申请中，兴趣爱好已成为重要竞争要素。兴趣爱好也被认为是激发好奇心、保持终身学习的动力源泉。

    为了平衡课程学习和兴趣培养之间的平衡，学校课程设置时，每天下午都安排有课外活动课，并创办了诸如绘画、舞蹈、音乐等兴趣课程和俱乐部，学生可根据个人爱好体验不同的活动从而选择兴趣课程。
 

   Haileybury provides a wide range of co- curriculum activities in the afternoon on weekdays to balance students’ study and personality development such as drawing dancing music courses and other clubs. Students can choose the curriculum according to their own interest.

    学校也会组织校园活动，给学生一个展示自己兴趣与才艺的舞台。继2016年1月8日的才艺表演会之后，学校又于1月13日为学生们举办了才艺作品展，让黑 利伯瑞学子可将个人绘画、书法、手工作品等分享给全校师生观赏。据了解，此次才艺作品展的参展作者来自全校各个年级，也不乏学校的绘画俱乐部成员的作品。

    The school also organizes events periodically for students to show their interest and talent. Following the talent show on January 8th from January 13th the gallery has mounted an exhibition of arts which made by students from all grades and the school painting club including paintings calligraphies handcrafts etc.

    Fine pencil sketches and watercolors traditional Chinese paintings vivid sand painting and paper-cuts show the students’ creative inspiration and hard work. Haileybury is proud of the excellent achievements of these students in arts.
