  In Humanities and Science learning targets will be met through a rigorous and engaging series of inquiry-d thematic units.

  Mathematics classes are d on a set of international standards using both local and overseas teaching materials.

  While literacy skills are built throughout the programme Language classes teach important skills with the goal of developing strong independent readers and writers.

  Developing the appreciation of visual and performing arts building computer skills and fostering enthusiasm towards design engineering invention and innovation.

  Developing healthy attitudes and behaviours by getting exercise learning and playing sports having fun with the goal of inspiring healthy active living.

  Learning Goals

  Learning goals relate to knowledge skills and understanding that each student should be able to demonstrate by the end of Year 5. Goals are in place for each subject area and our academic programme serves to help students meet these goals.

  An example of a skill-d Geography learning goal is:

  Student is able to make plans and maps in a variety of scales using symbols and keys.

  An example of a knowledge-d Science learning goal is:

  Student knows about differences between ls and other materials.

  Assessment

  In the delivery of the Primary School programme teachers conduct both summative and formative assessment to determine students’ progress towards specific learning goals in different subject areas. The primary goal of all assessment is to give the student feedback to help them learn and develop. A formal report of each student’s progress is issued once per semester.
