2016年10月17日周一对于无锡协和双语国际学校来说，是一个具有历史意义的时刻。我校女子足球队参与了学校历史上第一次正式足球比赛，对手是无锡市太湖国际学校女子足球队。
It was an historic evening for WUIS athletics on Monday October 17th when the WUIS girls football team played their first ever match against Taihu International School.
最终虽然太湖国际学校以5比1赢得比赛，但是从比分我们就可以看出比赛精彩纷呈。我校女子足球队由Ms. Le Compte执导 ，在她们的首次比赛中表现优异。
The team is coached by Ms.LeCompte and the girls played very well for their first match ever.
In the end Taihu won the match by the final score was 5 to 1. However the match was exciting and much closer than the score indicates.
本次比赛最有价值球员是来自8年级的杨欣琪，她为我校得到了宝贵的一分。为我们的守门员来自7年级的钱晟宇致敬，她至少挽救了9次对方射门。
Standouts for the girl football team was grade 7 Caroline Qian at goalie with over 9 saves in the match.
Our girl of the match was Lois Yang in grade 8 who scored WUIS' s only score of the match.
我校体育主任Coach Mata为建立这支女子足球队伍而感到骄傲和兴奋。在此特别感谢Ms. Le Compte为培养这支队伍作出的贡献，感谢她为了队伍能够在短时间内参加比赛而作出的努力。
Athletic Director Coach Mata has tried in the past to start a girls football team and is extremely excited and proud of this special group of girls.And a special thank you toMs. Le Compte for here dedication to coaching the girls so well and making them a competitive team in such a short time.
女足姑娘们，你们好棒!感谢你们代表学校在比赛中表现了高度的体育精神。最重要的是我们度过了愉快的时间，为你们自豪!
Great job girls! You played with the up most sportsmanship and did an outstanding job representing our school. And most important you had a great time! We are proud of you!
